Wiki Hows

I have installed an application on my Google homepage that displays each day's Wiki How. Generally, I find the issues tackled in these entries to be rather informative, but today I found this: How to Get Pregnant. But wait, I'm not done. Here's an illustration of step one: Discontinue any form of birth control.

Sooooooo funny slash gross! Thanks for the heads-up, Wiki How! Job well done!

Wiki-Hows aside, this weekend I'm going to be playing catch-up in order that I might get ahead regarding my academics. I have a novel to finish reading for my class on culture and a paper to write on it. Then, I'll hopefully have time to dive into next week's reading so I can ward off future stress.

The fact that I am writing this blog entry and subsequently planning on watching a movie, though, is not particularly congruent with above mentioned weekend plans. Furthermore, I have decided recently that there is not nearly enough dancing in my life, and I mean that wholeheartedly. (This is related, I promise.) Enter in Blow Up LA!, a dance party of sorts, and I might be able to remedy that situation rather quickly. The event takes place on a weekly basis at a warehouse in downtown LA, and while I have heard about it in the past, I haven't paid much attention to it...until now. I don't really know all that much about it, and the most unfortunate part is that most of my friends seem only to dance in their bedrooms, in front of their computer screens or floor-to-ceiling mirrors (wearing only slips and heels in some cases...ahem...Angela).

Why doesn't anybody like to dance? It is one of the only totally uninhibited forms of letting-go that I know of (in my case, since I suffer from moderate social anxiety, a few drinks also help in this process), and we could all use it as an excuse to skip out on a day's exercise (that is, if you do that sort of thing, which I don't at present). So this is my question for you: Would you ever dance with me? I'd really like to know. (And if the answer is "no," then I might be forced to find new friends. And that would be grim.)

Okay, off to play my invisible harmonica in anticipation of an enthusiastic response from my limited readership.
