Good News!

One of my favorite television series of all time is La Femme Nikita. You probably haven't heard of it, or you're familiar with the film of the same name. (I feel sorry for you.) In any case, it ran on USA Network from 1997-2000 and, when it wasn't renewed for a fifth season, Nikita fans were so persistent that the network announced Nikita would be back for eight more episodes in its fifth and final season. Since then, Nikita fans were only able to watch home-recorded episodes until the DVDs of the series became available a few years ago. Of course, each one had a ridiculous price tag that not even the most loyal of fans could afford (myself included). I went to Best Buy the other day and individual seasons were going for as much as $60 each! Today, though, I spotted Peta Wilson (so hot!) in the Fry's Electronics circular in the paper, and I knew instantly what that meant: a deal! Fry's is selling each season of Nikita for a mere $14.99 through Tuesday of next week.* So, if you're wondering why I might be walking with some extra pep in my step today (or tomorrow...or the next day), that is why, friends. That is why.

*The deal is only available in stores. Fry's website has the DVDs listed for $19.99 each, which is still a steal!
