Backyard Betty

I'm going to commit to writing regularly in my blog again. Lately, I've been playing too much solitaire and online Tetris not to put a little time into it anyway.

For this entry, I'm going to relay some of the various thoughts I had throughout the day. Before I start, though, I'll have you notice that I updated the links on the right-hand side of the page. Angela started a new blog, which can be found here, and I've thrown in a few other sites that should keep you entertained for a while.

Now, my thoughts:

  • "Lens Doctor is seriously a rad product. I need to stop putting off buying it. I'll order it first thing tomorrow because my sunglasses are badly in need of some TLC."
  • "That painting video Dad forwarded to me is actually really impressive. I'll have to share it with people." (Here it is: Paint Jam Dan Dunn - I know it's long, but it's pretty neat.)
  • "I need to stop being so effing lethargic. Going to bed at 4am and waking up after noon is not acceptable behavior, especially not from a college graduate. Snap out of it!"
  • "The 4th of July was a lot of fun. It was lovely spending the day with some of my dearest friends (although, others were sorely missed). The margarita Elly made me was tasty, too. Maybe because I poured half a cup of sugar into it. I should stop eating so much sugar."
  • "Wow, my classes at Fullerton start in a little over a month. Someone needs to get in a grad school state-of-mind soon."
  • "I can't believe 7-11 actually transformed several of its locations into Quik-E-Marts." (Sameer, Naveen, Matt, and I went to one in west LA last night, and we actually had to wait in line to get in at 2:30am!)
  • "Umberto D. is really an excellent film. I need to see it again soon."
Okay, I'll give it a rest for now. More catching up next time. But before you leave, watch this hilarious video that Lauryn recommended to me. I know I often say that "Situations are only as awkward as you make them out to be," but this interview is simply awkward. And it should make you laugh - even if uncomfortably.

Ciao!
