So, a couple years ago my dad got me into Gatorade's newer line of "fitness water," Propel. It's delicious. No joke. I generally think flavored water is disgusting, but Propel is an exception, and one I think you'd be awfully unintelligent not to try (at least once). Then again, this is coming from the girl who isn't really willing to give too many things a shot (food-wise, that is). For example, I've had mozzarella sticks once, and I know that I hate them. And seafood? My experiences are limited to microwavable fish sticks, which I ate once when I was six, a bite of raw salmon in 4th grade, and a bite of an octupus leg in Rescue, CA. So gross! All of them! And I'll be the first to say that not a one of them was probably the best choice for an introduction to seafood cuisine...but too bad. I'm done. No more seafood for me.
Moving on...today that skankface friend of mine, Angela Serratore, returned home with gifts in hand (for me). She brought me Elkland's new album (out today!), Golden, and Garbage's recent release, Bleed Like Me, from the radio station. Excited = me. Another cause for excitement is my upcoming trip to NY to see Elkland and Erasure (Monday night). Honestly, I can't wait. Alex is gonna take me to her favorite Mexican restaurant in NY, too, so that's another reason why I'm smiling. PLUS, my NY trip is a day after a weekend that will be spent in Boston checking out the Independent Film Festival of Boston (which includes a screening of Andrew Bujalski's Mutual Appreciation - I've mentioned it before) and hanging out with BU friends, etc. (It's important that I live up my last month or so on the east coast. Sigh...) And my weekend in Boston is preceded by the Poofs' Spring Jam on Friday night! So basically I'm a pretty busy girl (for a nice change of pace) beginning Thursday. I'm really looking forward to Poofs' jam being super successful. It's been a rough semester with 11 of us, but we've worked our asses off to make our sound as full and tight as possible considering our smaller size, and Friday will be the culmination of all of that; it's going to be fantastic. You'd better be coming...
And now that it's 3:30, I think it's ripe time I take the advice of Matt Boese and "hit the hay, meathead." I could've told you I didn't have anything interesting to say tonight...sorry.
Oh, and I worked out tonight for the second night in a row, making it the third time I've worked out all semester. Haha, what a joke! I should, you know, do that more frequently. Like, maybe in the summer. Or the fall. Sounds good. I mean, not all of us can be as motivated as some people (ahem, Sunil "Tool" Amin).
Peace.
