Oh snap! I totally figured out what my alterego/personal ad character is going to be for Spring Jam now: Snoop Catt! Honestly, have you ever heard of anything more perfect in your life? The answer to that question is no. N-O. Just think equal parts Snoop Dogg and crazy cat lady and that's pretty much who I'll be playing on Friday night. I don't even think words can describe how excited I am at this point, so you may just have to wait until Saturday or Sunday after Jam to see the pictures for yourself. Then you'll know how dead-on I am about this being the best idea (perhaps) of all time.
In other news, I ripped my favorite pair of jeans today. Yeah, sort of a bummer... I was getting soda in Chapin House dining room when the right upper leg of my jeans got caught on a motherfucking screw (one of the knobs was apparently missing from a drawer underneath the counter that the soda machine sits on, so the end of the screw was pretty much begging to ruin someone's favorite pair of Levi's). So now my jeans have a 2-inch rip on the right upper thigh, and I have an awesome cut where that came from, too. It actually looks pretty gangster when you think about it (or look at it), which brings us back to my previous point about why Snoop Catt is the best alterego decision ever. I might also mention that, upon telling my friend Sunil about my wound, he said, "Get your first aid kit, and we'll dress your wound together." This is coming from the kid who's going to Columbia for med school in the fall (even though he's pretending he's still really torn between Columbia and U. of Chicago). This is also the same kid whose BFFAEAEAE, Seb, earlier said to me in an AIM conversation,
SebS26: you seem very photogenic, or film-o-genicSebS26: red [hair] shows up well on kodachrome
WTF! Out of control!
Anyway, I think this is the part where I leave you for bed. (Leaving you makes me think of "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," which makes me think of Casey Shevin because she frequently quotes the song in her AIM profile/away messages. She's one of my favorite people, and it pains me to think of spending all summer and fall apart from her.) I'm so exhausted, and I really wanted to write this incredible post to make up for a few days of inactivity, but it's just not looking up anymore.
Goodnight, ladies and gents.
PS. Remind me to tell you about my unexpected visitor this weekend when I write tomorrow. And about how fucking hilarious it is that every time I find a boy who's even remotely intriguing he's clearly already taken by another girl (or boy). Do I sound bitter? Maybe because I am? Either that or I'm just lonely... :(
PPS. Remember how it used to be awesome to say that you "burned" someone instead of saying that you "dissed" them? Ha, I do.
